Norton KDH Cancer Treatment Center hosting Free Skin Cancer Screening

The whole community is invited to attend

The Norton KDH Cancer Treatment Center will host a free Skin Cancer Screening on Wednesday, May 25 at the Cancer Center - located on the east side of the main campus at 1373 East SR 62, Madison. The community screening is scheduled from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. Norton KDH employees will have the opportunity to attend from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. Notes about the Skin Cancer Screening: • Primary focus will be on traditional sun-exposed areas, including the head and neck (face and ears), arms, hands and legs. • If a patient has a specific area of concern that requires the patient to disrobe, private rooms will be available, as needed. • The screening is not designed to take the place of a full-body examination by a primary care provider or dermatologist. • General Surgery providers at Norton KDH will be providing the screening. Appointments are not required. Patients will register upon arrival and will be seen on a firstcome, first-serve basis. Questions may be directed to the Cancer Treatment Center by calling 812.801.0541. May is Skin Cancer Awareness Month. Now is a great time to practice safe sun habits - including the use of protective sun screen, shade and appropriate protective clothing.
