Record Breakers Highlight ORVC Report for December 15-20

Three ORVC swimmers have set new school records.

(Rising Sun, Ind.) - Eight student athletes have earned weekly honors from the Ohio River Valley Conference. 

The ORVC Report for December 15-20 was released on Tuesday. 

Five swimmers, including three who broke school records, were named the ORVC Swim Performers of the Week. 

Matthew Vaughn (Shawe), Max Mossburger (Rising Sun) and Seth Thomas (Milan) are the Boys Swimmers of the Week. Vaughn broke two school records last week in the 100 Yard Fly (:58.26) & 200 Yard IM (2:12.94). Mossburger broke the Rising Sun school record in the 500 Yard Free (:22.87). Thomas set the Milan school record in the 500 Yard Free (5:10.93)

The Girls Swimmers of the Week are Natalee Crawford (Southwestern) and Olivia Graver (Rising Sun)

Rising Sun's Jaylen Peelman is the ORVC Girls Basketball Player of the Week. The Lady Shiners' star tallied 24 points, five assists, and four rebounds in a win against Milan. 

Southwestern's Brady Cook and South Ripley Drew Volz are the ORVC Boys Basketball Players of the Week. Cook totaled 35 points, 14 rebounds and 12 assists in two games. Volz put up 38 points, 12 assists and eight rebounds in two games.
