UPDATE: Slide repair work continues on State Road 56 between North Bee Camp Road and North Shirks Hollow Road in Jefferson County. S.R. 56 remains closed as work is in progress and is expected to reopen in late June, weather permitting. S.R. 56 was previously scheduled to reopen in late May. The schedule has been modified due to additional slide repair work needed on S.R. 56.
