Expect delays heading through Scottsburg toward I-65
INDOT contractor MAC Construction will close the right lane of westbound S.R. 56 in Scottsburg this morning for concrete patching work. The closure will be in effect from the U.S. 31 intersection to I-65 through Monday (Oct. 7), weather permitting.
Following completion of work in the right westbound lane, the lane closure will move to the right lane of eastbound S.R. 56 for additional patching.
Motorists are urged to slow down, use caution and drive without distractions through the work zone.
Concrete patching from U.S. 31 to I-65 is part of the $1.9 million intersection improvement project that began in late April. The project is expected to be complete by late October.
