Could be hospitalized for the next several weeks
A sanitation worker injured on the job remains hospitalized.
Sheldon Morris, 25, was on his route on Highway 421 North in Bedford Tuesday when he was hit by an SUV just after 7 a.m.
Trimble County EMS, assisted by Milton Fire & Rescue, responded.
Morris was pinned between the Rumpke garbage truck and the SUV. It took first responders 30 minutes to free him from the mangled wreckage before he was air flighted to University Hospital in Louisville.
Kentucky State Police is continuing to investigate the crash.
