Scott Co. Health Department, Switz. County Fairground Two Sites For Third Round Of Fairbanks Study

If you have not received a postcard for testing you will not be able to be tested at these sites.

(Scott County, Ind.) - Statewide testing for the third phase of the collaborative COVID-19 study by Richard M. Fairbanks School of Public Health at IUPUI and the Indiana State Department of health began yesterday.

Individuals who have been invited to take part in the study have two places they can visit locally.

The first will be from September 29 to October 1 at the Scott County Health Department, located at 1296 N Gardner Street, Scottsburg.

If you have not received a postcard for testing you will not be able to be tested at these sites.

The second testing site will be from October 2 through October 3 at the Switzerland County Fairgrounds, located at 507 Vineyard Street, Vevay.

Participants nasal swabs will be tested for active viral infection, while the blood samples will be tested for antibodies that indicate previous infection. Individual test results are confidential and will be available to participants on a secure website or via text, phone call, or email once complete.

The fourth and final phase of the study is planned for April 2021.
