Shelby Energy to Rebuild Transmission Line in Trimble and Carroll Counties

Work is set to begin this spring

To ensure reliable service, Shelby Energy’s power provider EKPC is rebuilding an existing electric transmission line in Trimble and Carroll counties. The line goes from a substation in Milton to a substation near Carrollton.

EKPC will replace the aging poles and wires. Clearing and construction are scheduled to begin in spring of 2024 and continue through 2025.
