Short-term Closure Planned on State Road 7 in Dupont

The closure is expected to take up to three days.

(Jefferson Co.) - Indiana Department of Transportation contractor Ram Construction, Inc. is scheduled to close State Road 7 between West Main Street and West Morgan Trace on or after Friday, June 20, to complete a thin bridge deck overlay project in Dupont.

The closure is expected to take up to three days, weather permitting. During the closure, motorists should use the official detour which follows S.R. 62 to S.R. 256 to S.R. 3 back to S.R. 7.

This work is part of a contract awarded to RAM Construction in August 2024. INDOT reminds drivers to slow down, use extra caution, and avoid distractions when traveling in and near work zones. All work is weather-dependent and schedules are subject to change.
