Southeastern Career Center Goes Into Lockdown After Report of Student With a Gun

There is currently no threat at the school, according to Ripley Co. Communications.

(Versailles, Ind.) - The Southeastern Indiana Career Center is currently in a soft lockdown. 

Multiple agencies responded to the school in Versailles around 1:28 for a report of a student with a gun in the school. 

According to Ripley County Communications, the student was already in the office speaking with a school resource officers when other units arrived at the scene. 

Dispatchers tell Eagle Country 99.3 there is currently no threat present. When asked if the student did possess a gun, dispatchers said "not that we are aware of." 

Law enforcement remains on the scene.
