NDOT has notified the Switzerland Co. Sheriff's Office that both lanes of State Road 156 just to the east of Vevay will be closed effective immediately due to slippage.
Detours from State Road 156 onto Tapps Ridge Rd. and Markland Pike will allow motorists to bypass the closure.
INDOT further advised that it's unknown how long repairs will take.
Updated information will be released as it becomes available. We ask that you use caution when traveling the county roads during this closure.
