State Road 56 to Temporarily Close for Railroad Work Near Aurora

The project is expected to last about a week.

(Aurora, Ind.) - CSX Railroad plans to close State Road 56 next week for railroad crossing maintenance work in Aurora. 

On or after Monday, April 22, S.R. 56 will close to traffic between U.S. 50 and Bridgeway Street and is expected to reopen Saturday, April 27, weather permitting. The detour will follow U.S. 50 to S.R. 262 to S.R. 56.

INDOT reminds drivers to slow down, use extra caution and avoid distractions in and near work zones. All work is weather-dependent and schedules are subject to change.
