Stolen Trailer Case From 2002 Reopened

On June 1st 2019, Ohio County Sheriff's Deputies recovered a trailer that was stolen in 2002.

The Ohio County Sheriff's Office was notified by the Ripley County Sheriff's Office that they conducted a VIN check on the trailer to have it registered.

When the VIN (Vehicle Identification Number) was ran, it showed that it was stolen from a residence at the bottom of Holmes Hill and Old State Road 56, on June 24, 2002.

The case from 2002 has been reopened and is currently being investigated by Ohio County Sheriff's Deputies.

Anyone with information about the theft is asked to call the Ohio County Sheriff's Office.

The Ohio County Sheriff's Office would like to thank the Ripley County Sheriff's Office for their assistance.
