Stuff the Cruiser" for Carroll County Food Pantry - Saturday, November 23rd

Carrollton Kroger's parking lot 10:00 am. to 1:00 pm.

Carroll County's Annual Community Food drive continues Saturday, November 23, 2024, with "Stuff the Cruiser" at the Carrollton Kroger's parking lot from 10:00 am. until 1:00 pm.  The City of Carrollton's Police  Cruiser will be available for 'stuffing' with non perishable food items  going to the Food Pantry of Carrollton, 113 3rd Street, to be used for local residents who have food insecurity.

"Last week's food collection by the area schools and businesses was much appreciated," Ruth H. Baxter, Food Pantry volunteer stated, "but we have nearly 200 families that we're feeding during the holiday season, so as much food as we can gather will enable us to serve those who most need the food."  Students from the Carrollton Christian Academy, Carroll County Schools, I-Lead and JCTC Carrollton Campus contributed more than 10,000 items for the Food Pantry.  Area businesses including Certainteed, First National Bank of Kentucky, Carrollton Federal Bank, Farmers Bank of Milton, the Carroll County Library and Carroll County Water District #1 collected an  additional 4,000 food items from their employees and customers.

Volunteers from I- Lead Academy will be handing out fliers detailing the list of items needed by the Food Pantry which include beef stew, canned meat, spaghetti sauce and noodles, macaroni and cheese, peanut butter and  jelly.  All donations of non perishable food items are appreciated.

For further information about the Food Pantry collection, contact Chief of Police Mike Willhoite or Ruth Baxter.
