Switzerland County Schools to Offer Summer Meal Program

In addition to the summer meal program, the wavier extends the national free breakfast and lunch program to all students K-12 for the 2021-2022 school year.

(Switzerland County, Ind.) – The USDA has announced the nationwide extension of several waivers allowing all children to continue to receive nutritious summer meals.

The Switzerland County School Corporation has announced that they will be offering summer meal programs at the high school and Switzerland County Elementary School.

High School breakfast will be served from 8:00 a.m. until 9:00 a.m. and lunch will be served from 10:00 a.m. until noon each day. SCES breakfast will be served from 8:00 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. and lunch from 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 noon each day.

In addition to the summer meal program, the wavier extends the national free breakfast and lunch program to all students K-12 for the 2021-2022 school year.

The school would like to remind parents when you register your child for school next year it is still important to complete the meal and textbook assistance form if you feel your child qualifies. This program does not automatically apply to textbooks.

Once you complete the assistance form, your textbook bill is paid by the state, only class fees will apply to your bill. This form can be submitted during registration. We will have an online option as well as open hours to help parents complete the assistance form if necessary.
