(Madison, Ind.) – On July 8, Madison Police Patrolman Cameron Blankenship conducted a traffic stop that lead to the arrest of two on drug-related charges.
While on route Patrolman Cameron Blankenship observed Kenneth L. Aldridge, 31, of Madison driving westbound on Main in a white Chey Impala.
With prior knowledge that Aldridge did not possess a valid driver’s license, Officer Blankenship executed a traffic stop at Third and Jefferson Streets.
In addition to prior knowledge of the suspended license, the operator also failed to use his turn signaling device when required.
K-9 Officer Brad Demaree responded to the traffic stop and deployed K-9 Champi to conduct an open-air sniff around the vehicle. Champi gave a positive indication that narcotics were present in the vehicle.
A subsequent search of the vehicle was conducted, and officers discovered methamphetamine, along with paraphernalia, in the vehicle operated by Aldridge.
