This work will begin next week Aug 31st
DEARBORN COUNTY, Ind.— Indiana Department of Transportation contractor GeoStabilization International plans to begin work as early as Wednesday, August 31, to complete a drainage repair project on U.S. 50 in Aurora. Work will take place north of S.R. 148, near the Sunoco gas station.
Once work begins, eastbound traffic will be shifted to allow room for the contractor to excavate and complete repairs on the concrete box culvert underneath the highway. Traffic restrictions are anticipated to remain in place through mid-to-late December, depending upon weather and other factors. Two thru lanes are expected to remain open throughout the project.
INDOT reminds drivers to slow down, avoid distractions, and consider worker safety when traveling through active construction zones. All work is weather-dependent and schedules are subject to change.
