(Ohio County, Ind.) - Indiana Department of Transportation contractor Dave O'Mara Contractor, Inc. is scheduled to begin a small structure replacement project on State Road 56 over Buck Run just east of Rising Sun on or after Tuesday, April 1, in Ohio County.

Work will take place approximately 2.3 miles east of State Road 262 between Bellview Lane and Henschen Road and is expected to be complete in mid-July, weather permitting. Temporary traffic signals will be used and an 11-foot width limit will be in effect while work is in progress.

Following this work, an additional small structure replacement project will take place on S.R. 56 east of Rising Sun as part of this contract. INDOT will provide additional information at a later date.

This work is part of a $2.7 million contract awarded Dave O'Mara in September 2024. INDOT reminds drivers to slow down, use extra caution, and avoid distractions when traveling in and near work zones. All work is weather-dependent and schedules are subject to change.
