#1 Southwestern Falls In Regional To Tell City

Record setting season

A record setting season came to a end on Saturday as the Southwestern boys basketball team lost in the regional 54-48 to Tell City. Tyler Kramer 17 and Foster Mefford with 14 for the Rebels. Southwestern closed out the season with a school-record 25-2 record. Tell City lost in the regional championship to Linton-Stockton 45-36. The miners take on Shenandoah Saturday at 1 in the Seymour Semi-State.

The 2A regional at Paoli saw a sell out crowd of over 4,200 fans. Southwestern had 1,000 fans on hand.

 

 The Trinity Shamrocks are bringing a state title back to St. Matthews.  They won the KHSAA Boys Basketball Championship, 50-40, over Scott County yesterday in Lexington. It's the second time Trinity has won the state title. 8th Region champion, Walton-Verona lost in the Final 8 to Campbell Co. on Friday, 49-42.
