53rd IHSAA Baseball State Tournament Pairing Announced

Madison and Shawe get byes

A field of 384 teams will begin play later this month as the pairings for the 53rd Annual IHSAA Baseball State Tournament Series were announced Sunday evening in Indianapolis.

Sectional competition begins Wednesday, May 22.

The four state championship games will be played at Victory Field in Indianapolis, home of the Triple‐A franchise Indianapolis Indians, for the 14th consecutive year and 22nd overall. This year’s games will be played in a doubleheader format on Monday, June 17 and Tuesday, June 18, three days later than the traditional weekend slot due to Indians home games.

G2: South Dearborn vs. Franklin County.

G3: Batesville vs. Rushville Consolidated.

G4: Madison Consolidated vs. G1 winner.

G5: G2 winner vs. G3 winner.

Championship: G4 winner vs. G5 winner.

 

2A Sectional 45 @ South Ripley:

G1: Switzerland County vs. Austin.

G2: Southwestern (Hanover) vs. Milan.

G3: South Ripley vs. G1 winner.

Championship: G2 winner vs. G3 winner.

 

1A Sectional 62 @ Shawe Memorial:

G1: Borden vs. New Washington.

G2: South Central (Elizabeth) vs. Christian Academy.

G3: Shawe Memorial vs. G1 winner.

Championship: G2 winner vs. G3 winner.
