BASEBALL:  

Shawe fell 13-3 to Rising Sun in the 1A Sectional. Philip Kahn 3-3, 3B, RBI, 2R Jacob Hertz 3-3, RBI Wyatt Nichter 1B, RBI Eric Liu 1B, R Wyatt Nichter (L) 5.2IP, 9ER, 16H, 1K, 1BB Hilltoppers end the season 12-12 

Shawe Baseball hosted the opening round of Sectional 62 Wednesday night and faced ORVC rival Rising Sun in the second game.  In spite of jumping out to an early lead,  they lost 13-3.  Wyatt Nichter started on the mound and took the loss allowing 13 runs 9 earned on 16 hits.

Offensively the Hilltoppers were led by Philip Kahn and Jacob Hertz who were 3/3 with an RBI each. Nichter had an RBI single and Eric Liu was 1/3 and scored a run.

The Hilltoppers finished the season  12-12. It was the first season 500 or better in over a decade.  They lose 2 seniors Eric Liu and Wyatt Nichter.

SOFTBALL: 

Madison falls 11-3 to Corydon in the 3A Sectional. Molly Armbrecht 2-4, RBI Casey Dyer 1B, RBI Kallie Eder 1B, RBI Sarah Adams 1B, R Cam Mann 1B Hailey Huffman 1B Lexi Sullivan R Kyra Ayler R Ava Armbrecht (L) 6.1IP, 7ER, 15H, 3K, 4BB Cubs finish the season 16-10. most wins in a season since 2003.

THURSDAY:

Switzerland County fell 10-0 to Austin in the 2A Baseball Sectional. Mason Peelman 1-2 Zayne Smith (L) 3IP, 8ER, 9H, 1K, 2BB Pacers end the season with a 7-14 record. 

Madison fell 3-0 to Scottsburg in the 3A Baseball Sectional. Craig Demaree 1-2 Ben Orrill (L) 6.1IP, 2ER, 5H, 12K, 2BB Cubs end the season with a 19-9 record.

Southwestern defeated Hauser 10-3 in the 2A BSectional. Jamison Lewis 2-3, 2B, 3RBI Adam Traylor 2-3, 2B, RBI Austin Jenkins 2-4 William Stockdale 2B, RBI Jordan DeAtley 1B, RBI Jamison Lewis (W) 4IP, 3ER, 4H, 5K, 1BB Jordan DeAtley (S) 3IP, 0R, 1H, 6K, 1BB Rebels are now 17-11.
