Shawe defeats Switzerland Co. 3-2

Williamstown over Trimble Co. 2-0

HIGH SCHOOL BOYS SOCCER:

Shawe falls to Jac-Cen-Del 6-3

HIGH SCHOOL GIRLS GOLF:

Southwestern shot 226 to win a four-team match with Switzerland Co. (274), Jac-Cen-Del (278) and Shawe (NT). Shawe’s Katie Hertz was medalist at 44. Southwestern was led by Ellie Foley at 55 and Switzerland County’s Sierra Hamilton shot a 67.

Madison shot a 195 to defeat Scottsburg (206) and Henryville (216). Madison’s Keara Eder shot a 42

Madison's Ryan Thurston made his first appearance in relief for the Bluefield Blue Jays in Wednesday night. Thurston pitched the 6th inning throwing just 8 pitches in a 3 up, 3 down inning and recorded a strikeout. Jays beat the Burlington Royals by the score of 9-3. The Bluefield Blue Jays begin playoff action on Friday.
