Rain again effects events

Rain again postponed several area sporting events last evening.

 

HIGH SCHOOL BOYS GOLF:

Seymour over Southwestern 175-180

 

HIGH SCHOOL TRACK:

AT SOUTHWESTERN:

Boys: Borden 76, Southwestern 67.5, Henryville 50.5, Shawe 16.

Girls: Borden 71, Southwestern 55, Henryville 43, Shawe 35.

AT SEYMOUR (BOYS):

Columbus East 165.5 points, Jennings County 141.5, Bedford North Lawrence edged Seymour for third, 132-124, and Madison as fifth with 35 points.

 

 

Carroll County’s John Glauber and Caleb Stephenson finished third at the KHSAA Region 2 Bass Fishing Tournament contested Saturday at Lake Cumberland. The regional featured a field of 165 boats. By finishing in the top three at regional, Glauber and Stephenson both received medals and qualified for next month’s two-day state finals on Kentucky Lake. It will be their third consecutive appearance in the state tourney.
