IHSAA BASEBALL SECTIONAL:

Shawe falls to Borden in the semi-finals 7-4. Borden will face South Central at 11 Monday for sectional championship 

 

SATURDAY, MAY 25th:

IHSAA BASEBALL SECTIONAL:

Madison advances to the sectional championship on Monday at 5:30 to take on host South Dearborn after a 4-2 victory over Greensburg

 

KHSAA 8th REGION SOFTBALL TOURNAMENT:

Carroll Co. falls to Oldham Co. 5-2

 

KHSAA 8th REGION BASEBALL TOURNAMENT:

Carroll Co. falls to Collins 13-3

 

NCAA DIVISION III WOMEN NATIONAL TRACK CHAMPIONSHIP:

Erin Bowling of Hanover College placed 16th in the hammer throw.

 

 

Former Madison Cub, Ryan Thurston returned to Indiana with the Chicago Dogs and picked up his first win of the season as the Dogs defeat Milwaukee 6-4 at Kokomo Municipal Stadium. Ryan pitched two innings allowed 1 hit, 1 walk, 1 strikeout while facing 8 batters.

MONDAY, MAY 27th:

IHSAA BASEBALL SECTIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS:

A pitching dual led into extra innings as Austin defeats Southwestern 2-1 with a walk off base hit in the 10th. Austin's Drew Buhr struckout 21 while Southwesten's Bailey Elliott had 12 striikeouts. Both pitchers left the game due to the pitch count, Elliott 100 & Buhr 108.

Madison falls to South Dearborn 16-1 in 5 innings. South Dearborn (16-6) wins its 1st sectional title since 2012 and will take on Silver Creek in the regional semifinals at Bosse on Saturday.
