The Indiana High School Girls Basketball season opened locally last night as Shawe falls to 1A #9 Lanesville 73-23. Next up at 1A #1 Jac-Cen-Del on Tuesday. Madison opens tomorrow hosting Charlestown while Southwestern tips off on Friday at Henryville and Saturday at Crothersville.

 

Hanover College women’s soccer team advanced to the HCAC Championship on Saturday with a 3-0 win over Franklin. Panthers will take on Rose Hulman Saturday for the NCAA automatic bid in Terre Haute.

 

Hanover College men’s soccer team hosts Manchester this afternoon in their HCAC semi-final game at 2pm.

 

College hoops last night:  #2 Kentucky puts down #1 Michigan State 69-62, #5 Louisville over University of Miami 87-74 and IU opens with a 98-65 win over Western Illinois.
