Jennings County's Kent Named IBCA District 3 Player of the Week

(Jennings County, Ind.) - Impressive may be an understatement when describing the play of Carter Kent. 

The Jennings County senior was named the IBCA District 3 Boys Basketball Player of the Week for his play during the sectional round. 

Kent averaged 29.5 points, 8.0 rebounds, 7.0 assists and had one double-double as Jennings County seized the Class 3A Sectional 29 trophy at South Dearborn.

The 6-1 guard dropped in 32 points with 10 rebounds, eight assists and three steals in a 71-46 semifinal victory over Batesville. He then tallied 27 points, six rebounds, six assists and four steals as the Panthers knocked off the host Knights 69-55 to improve to 12-14.

Kent converted 22-of-34 shot, 2-of-9 3-pointers, and 13-of-15 charities in the two contests.

Jennings County will play Princeton at the Southridge Regional on Saturday.
