Shawe Memorial High School’s Athletic Department announces that Drew Kring has officially resigned as Head Coach of the Shawe Memorial High School Girls Basketball program.

Coach Kring served Shawe Memorial with dedication, passion, and pride over the past four seasons, leaving a lasting impact on the program and the student-athletes he coached. His commitment to developing young women both on and off the court helped strengthen the foundation of the girls basketball program and build a culture of effort, accountability, and team-first leadership.

In a statement regarding his decision, Coach Kring shared, “This is not a decision I have come to lightly, as it is a school and group of girls I love to support. However, with a new job and young kids, I do not have the time to devote fully to the position.”

Shawe Memorial Athletic Director Jamison Bower expressed gratitude for Coach Kring’s service and leadership: “Coach Kring has dedicated countless hours to our girls' basketball program and has represented Shawe Memorial with class, passion, and integrity. We are sincerely thankful for the commitment he has shown our student-athletes and the success he has helped bring to the program over the past four years.  Drew’s impact will be felt well beyond the wins and losses, and we wish him and his family nothing but the best moving forward.”
