BASEBALL:

Webster 7, Hanover 

ST. LOUIS, Mo. - Hanover traveled to Webster University for a midweek matchup, falling in the close battle 7-4.

AT THE PLATE
The Panthers put up a pair of runs in the fourth inning, the first coming from a fifth year Eric Roudebush (New Palestine, IN) RBI single.

Hanover added another pair of runs in the sixth inning, one coming on a solo home run by Senior Reid Douglas (Rossville, IN).

ON THE BUMP
Freshman Dylan Lloyd (Colerain, OH) got the start, tossing for two innings striking out three. The Panthers then went to the bullpen which allowed just three runs on seven hits.

The Panthers next game will take place on Saturday, when they celebrate Senior Day with Bluffton.

South Decatur 11, Shawe 0

Shawe Memorial returned home for a non conference game vs South Decatur Wednesday night.  Unfortunately, they were on the short end of a 11-0 decision.  Jacob Hart started on the mound for the Hilltoppers and took the loss going 2 & 2/3 innings allowing 10 runs only 5 earned while giving up 7 hits.  He struck out 2 and walked 2.  Joe Hart pitched 2 innings in relief allowing 1 run none earned striking out 4. Caavan Hambrick got the final out in the 5th. The Toppers struggled at the plate only getting 1 base runner, Brad Martinez who walked.
