Quote from Golf Head Coach Matt Johnson

I could not be more proud of the time and work these boys have put in this year and over their entire careers leading up to this. This was a conference championship four years in the making for our seniors. We finished in last place in the conference tournament 3 years ago. Building up from last to first place over four years and having all 5 players make the all-conference team is a testament to the determination of our top five and our entire team. We have 15 guys on the team this year, and everyone has contributed to getting us here today. The conference championship was goal number one on the season. We're going to take a moment to celebrate this win and then immediately begin working on our second goal of getting to regionals.

Madison struggled on Saturday on the state finals course (Prairie View) and come in second to last.
