SOCCER: 

Shawe 3, Milan 1 

Shawe girls were back in action tonight hosting Milan a for a conference match up . Shawe came away with a 3 to 1 victory in a very physical tough fought match. Shawe started the scoring with 24 minutes left in the first half with Kinsley Pollitt giving a drop to Ava Flint from 25 yards out on our left wing.  Then with 20 minutes left Milans Cassidy Carrie scored on a break away down the middle. Then with 13:30 left Maria Ameca-mendoza had a break away up the middle and made it 2 to 1 . And with 11 minutes to go in the first half Justice Kuntz took a hard foul that knocked her out of the game for the remainder of the half and Ava Flint stepped up from the right side around  30 yards out and scored on a direct free kick. Second half turned into a defensive battle and the game ended at 3 to 1 with Shawe taking the win. Shawe is now 5 and 2.

Hanover College Athletics 

 Hanover Panthers hit the links as part of the two day Transylvania Women's Golf Kickoff Classic hosted at the University of Kentucky - Big Blue. Senior Kambrie Cooper finished the 36-hole tournament with a combined score of 169. Her best round came on Day Two which included a birdie on hole 17.Freshman Cassidy Clark lit up the links with a strong first round, carding a team-best 78, including birdies on holes one, 11, and 17. She shot a 36-hole score of 162.Junior Madelyn Arrenholz finished the 36-hole Tournament carding a 176. Hanover returns to the course on Saturday, Sept. 20 and Sunday, Sept. 21 when they compete as part of the Earlham Randy Sandler Invite.
