First College Football Matchup Of The Season Has Change of Date and Venue

In NCAA football, the college football season was set to start with a matchup between the Notre Dame Fighting Irish and the Navy Midshipmen at the Aviva Stadium in Dublin, Ireland. This was originally scheduled for August 29th. That game has officially been moved to Annapolis, Maryland at Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium, scheduled for September 5th or 6th.  This is the first time that this game has been moved in the 94 year history of this matchup, and the first time that this game will be played at Navy in their 91 meetings. Notre Dame has won 8 of their last 9 matchups against Navy.
