SOCCER: 

MADISON 8, SOUTHWESTERN 0 - 

Madison won their game against county rival Southwestern last night by the score of 8-0.  Scoring for the Lady Cubs were Kyra Ayler with a hat trick scoring 3 goals, Kenzie Smith (2), while Kylie Montgomery, Addison Roark and Kamea Phelps scored one goal each. Assists were provided by Kyra Ayler (2), Ellie Mahoney (2), Lillian Sullivan (1), and Kenzie Smith (1.)  Goal Keepers Peighton Chatham and Jane Jenner combined for a shutout and everyone who played on the back line combined for a clean sheet for the contest.

SHAWE 3, MILAN 3 

Tough game tonight with Milan ended in a 3 to 3 tie should have been 4 to 3 but a goal at the 74th minute was not rewarded to Shawe for the win. 2 goals by Maria Ameca-mendoza and 1 by Jenna Flint assist by Malarie Boswell and Justice Kuntz. Shawe is now 4-2 and 2 overall and 1-1and 2 in the conference.

SHAWE 2, MILAN 1 

Shawe got on the board first with a goal from Gus Grote in the 10th minute.Bartosz Rychlicki doubled the Shawe lead in the 30th minute. Despite the time of possession being in favor of the the Hilltoppers Milan kept looking to counter attack when they got the ball. Milan was finally able to find the back of the net on one of this counter attacks in the 78th minute.

VOLLEYBALL: 

RISING SUN 3, SOUTHWESTERN 1

Harlee Hill had 13 kills on 34 for 36 hitting and 1 ace on 10 for 11 serving. Allison Birchfield went 19 for 20 serving with 5 aces Raygan Crawford was 16 for 19 hitting with 6 kills and 9 for 11 serving with 2 aces. Jenna Owens was 35 for 38 hitting with 8 kills and 11 for 11 serving with 1 ace. Quote: We played very well the first set and then committed 18 errors the second set, practically giving the set away. The third set was tight and we played better but made some errors in critical times. I don't feel like we played with enough intensity to win a close, conference match. Hopefully we will learn from this experience.

CROSS COUNTRY : 

Scottsburg XC Invitational 

Both XC teams participated in the 11 Team Scottsburg Invitational held at Hanover College's course.  

Top finishers for the girls were Allison Knoebel finishing 14th with a time of 25:21.

Top fishers for the boys were Cavaan Hambrick placing 10th with a time of 18:55 and Nate Fewell placing 14th with a time of 19:27.
