Thurston Get First Professional Win Against Yankees (East) Rookie League Squad

Former Madison Cub and former Western Kentucky Hilltopper, Ryan Thurston, made his first appearance as a professional baseball player on Tuesday for the Gulf Coast League Blue Jays in a 7-1 win over the Gulf Coast League Yankees East. 

Thurston pitched the 5th inning of the game at the Yankees Complex in Tampa, Florida. 

Thurston threw 1 inning, had 1 strikeout and did not allow a baserunner. 

The GCL Blue Jays are now 5-2 on the season.
