Big Brothers/Big Sisters of Indiana needs your help
More Information (95.3 WIKI is not responsible for external websites)
Did you know 1 in 3 kids in America are growing up without a positive adult mentor in their lives? And, over 30,000 kids are on the Big Brothers/Big Sisters' waiting list nationwide, hoping for one.
Big Brothers/Big Sisters of Southeast Indiana is about building these relationships. If you live in Scott, Jefferson, Jennings, or Jackson Counties in Indiana or Carroll and Trimble County in Kentucky, we want to hear from you!
There is a child in your community waiting for a friend, a role model, a mentor. For a few hours a month, you can give a 'Little' the invaluable gift of your friendship. It doesn't take much; play a board game, make fun crafts, hit the playground, go to the library or just be there as someone to listen to what's going on in their lives. Your time and support are all it takes to help empower a child's potential. The great thing is, you don't have to change your life to change theirs.
You also don't need to have a specific title, a degree, or any special qualifications. You just need to be compassionate, patient, and accepting. The power of mentorship lies in the moments that spark curiosity, aspiration, and inspire potential.
YOU can impact the future and inspire potential in a young person. If you would like more information about volunteering as a mentor or know a young person whose lives could be positively impacted by having a mentor in their lives, we want to hear from you. Please call us at 812-273-0797, visit us online at https://www.bbbssi.org/ or visit our Facebook page to learn more.
Together, we can make a difference and bring about a brighter future for everyone!
