JCPL has been chosen by Indiana Humanities as one of six Indiana communities to host Water/Ways, an exhibit created by the world famous Smithsonian Institution to high light the role water plays in our daily life.
Water has been a major factor in Indiana communities formation, growth, and culture and this is a wonderful opportunity for the Residents of Madison to consider how water defines and contributes to their community.
The interactive exhibit dives into where our waterways are , their role as cultural and physical borders and as connecters and highways how we harness its power at home and at work as well as the human effect on our waterways. In addition all six local hosts sites received extensive training and funding to help tell the community's watershed story.
The exhibit will be open the same time the Library is opened, as well as Sundays from 12:00 p.m. through 4:00pm, and on Martin Luther King, JR Day. Fun activities will also be provided in order to add to the dynamic learning that can be experienced. Entry available through the Elm Street door of the Auditorium of the Library seven days a week. All ages.
