A domestic altercation involving a mother and her twenty-four year old daughter

February 21, 2019, @ 9:22PM – The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Department conducted an investigation into a reported stabbing at a residence on Skyline Drive / Madison Mobile Home Park.  The victim Identified as Candy Boggs 47, reported a domestic altercation involving her twenty-four year old daughter Savanna Boggs.  Both parties reside at the same residence on Skyline Drive where the incident reportedly occurred.  

 

According to Candy Boggs, the verbal altercation between herself and her daughter became physical, at which time Savanna Boggs allegedly stabbed her mother in the left shoulder.  Candy Boggs was taken to KDH-ER for treatment, for what was described as a deep stab wound to her shoulder.  The injury did not appear to be life threatening.

 

Deputies C.J. Miller and Bradley Demaree attempted to make contact with Savanna Boggs at the Skyline Drive residence, to no avail.  It was obvious to investigators that the residence was occupied, however the occupants refused to answer the door.  It was learned through the investigation that the residence was also occupied by Trevor G. Robinson 18, an acquaintance of Savanna’s.  Robinson was found to have an active warrant out of Jennings County, Indiana, for possession of marijuana. 

 

Due to information received and the nature of the call, the Madison / Jefferson County Emergency Response Team was requested.  Deputy Miller sought and received a search warrant for the Skyline Drive residence.

After approximately twenty-one minutes of verbal commands, both Savanna and Trevor exited the residence, and were taken into custody by the emergency response team. 

 

Savanna Boggs 24, was transported to the Jefferson County Jail where she awaits her initial court appearance on preliminary alleged charges of battery w/ a deadly weapon causing serious bodily injury level 5 felony, Intimidation w/ a deadly weapon level 6 felony, possession of methamphetamine level 6 felony, possession of syringe level 6 felony, and resisting law enforcement class A misdemeanor.

Savanna Boggs and Trevor Robinson have the presumption of innocence until proven guilty.  At this time, Robinson does not face local charges. 

 Deputy Miller is the lead investigator into the stabbing incident.
