Bedford Woman Arrested After Attempting To Use Counterfeit Bill

After conducting an on-scene investigation, officers found Long to be in possession of methamphetamine, marijuana, drug paraphernalia, and a $100.00 counterfeit bill.

(Madison, Ind.) – On Friday, May 29, officers with the City of Madison Police Department arrested a Bedford woman on multiple charges.

Officers were dispatched to Jassy’s Gas Station in reference to a patron attempting to pass a counterfeit $50.00 bill. Upon arrival, officers located the alleged perpetrator and identified her as Kelsey E. Long 27, of Bedford, KY.

After conducting an on-scene investigation, officers found Long to be in possession of methamphetamine, marijuana, drug paraphernalia, and a $100.00 counterfeit bill.

Long was taken into custody and transported to the Jefferson County Jail.

The ongoing investigation is being led by Sergeant Shawn Scudder. Scudder was assisted at the scene of Officers Smith, Watson, Wallace, and Heaton.

All charges filed against Long are alleged, and she has the presumption of innocence until otherwise proven guilty.
