Bridge projects to close S.R. 250 in Jefferson County

This project will begin next week

JEFFERSON COUNTY, Ind.— Indiana Department of Transportation contractor E&B Paving Inc. plans to close S.R. 250 in early July to complete two bridge deck overlay projects in Jefferson County. 

On or after Thursday, July 7, the S.R. 250 bridge over Middle Fork Creek will close for up to 45 days. The bridge is located 2.68 miles west of S.R. 7 near Lancaster. The second bridge over Big Camp Creek is expected to close for up to 45 days in late August and is located just west of the first bridge. Traffic will be routed along the official detour, which will follow S.R. 7 and S.R. 3. 

The contract was awarded to E&B in November 2021 and has a completion date of October 31, 2022. INDOT reminds drivers to slow down, avoid distractions, and consider worker safety when traveling through active construction zones. All work is weather-dependent and schedules are subject to change.
