JEFFERSON COUNTY, Ind. - Indiana Department of Transportation contractor E&B Paving, Inc. began a bridge rehabilitation project on State Road 56/62 over Big Spring Creek on Tuesday, April 1, in Jefferson County.

Work is taking place just east of State Road 62 west of Hanover and is expected to be complete in early July, weather permitting. Temporary traffic signals will be used and an 11-foot lane width limit will be in effect on S.R. 56/62 while work is in progress.

This work is part of a $1.1 million contract awarded to E&B in October 2024. INDOT reminds drivers to slow down, use extra caution, and avoid distractions when traveling in and near work zones. All work is weather-dependent and schedules are subject to change.
