Busy Weekend For Madison Police

Brief Pursuit and Disorderly Conduct Along with Warrants

                                      

November 12, 2021, at approximately 6:10 PM Madison Police Patrolman Josh Nolan arrested Cassandra L. Webster, 39, Madison, Indiana.  Webster was taken into custody for active bond revocation warrants.  During the subsequent search of her property, Officers located methamphetamine and paraphernalia associated with the use of narcotics. 

Webster's active revocation warrants include; L-6 residential entry, B / M possession of marijuana, C / M possession of paraphanailia.  Casandra Webster has the presumption of innocence until otherwise proven guilty. 

November 13, 2021, Madison Police Patrolman Curtis Shelpman executed a traffic stop on Lanier Drive, near Duffy Ave.  The driver was identified as  Joshua D. Ferguson, 39, Madison, Indiana. 

Feguson initially complied with officers, however fled the scene in his vehicle while Patrolman Josh Nolan was standing at the driver's door.  Nolan was pulled several feet by the vehicle, as it pulled away, however the officer was able to maintain his balance and was not injured.

A  vehicle pursuit ensued as Ferguson fled North on Highway #7.  In the area of Boyd Road, Ferguson left the travel portion of the roadway and became stuck in a field.  Ferguson fled on foot, however officers were able to take him into custody without further incident. 

Joshua Ferguson faces preliminary alleged charges of; L-6 possession of methamphetamine, L-6 resisting law enforcement (vehicle), L-6 criminal recklessness, A / M resisting law enforcement (fleeing on foot), A / M leaving the scene of an accident, C / M possession of paraphanailia.  Ferguson has the presumption of innocence until otherwise proven guilty.  The Jefferson County Sheriff's Department assisted the MPD.  

November 14, 2021, Madison Police responded to the Circle "K" downtown reference a person creating a disturbance.  Officer Curtis Shelpman responded and located Ashley N. Walters, 35, North Vernon, Indiana.  Walters was found to be disorderly, and continued to yell after being given a disorderly conduct warning.  Officer Shelpman attempted to take Walters into custody, but she physically resisted. As a result of her resistance, Officer Shelpman sustained an ankle injury.  

Walters faces preliminary alleged charges of L-5 battery against a public official, L-6 possession of a syringe, A / M resisting law enforcement, B / M disorderly conduct, and B / M false informing.  Ashley Walters has the presumption of innocence until otherwise proven guilty.  Captain Season Jackson assisted.  

November 14, 2021, Madison Police responded to the Madison Wal-Mart reference shoplifting. Officer Nolan led the investigation and arrested Dustin H. Hardebeck 32, Lexinton, Indiana, for the alleged theft.  During the subsequent search of Hardebeck's person, officers found him to be in possession of methamphetamine, marijuana, and paraphanailia associated with the use of narcotics.   

Hardebeck faces preliminary alleged charges of L-6 possession of hypodermic needle, L-6 possession of methamphetamine, A / M theft, B / M possession of marijuana and B / M possession of paraphanailia. Dustin Hardebeck has the presumption of innocence until otherwise proven guilty.
