Cincinnati Man Killed In Motorcycle Crash In Franklin County

Toxicology results are still pending at this time although alcohol and drug are not suspected to be factors.

(Franklin County, Ind.) – A Cincinnati man lost his life after a motorcycle crash in Franklin County.

The Indiana State Police, Versailles Post, responded to the crash on State Road 252 near Heard Road around 4:00 p.m. on Friday.

The initial investigation indicated that Daniel A. Cottingham,58, of Cincinnati, was traveling eastbound on State Road 252 when his motorcycle crossed the center line into the path of a truck pulling a camper.

Cottingham suffered fatal injuries in the accident and was pronounced deceased at the scene. Police stated that Cottingham was wearing a helmet at the time of the accident.

Toxicology results are still pending at this time although alcohol and drug are not suspected to be factors.

This investigation remains ongoing.
