Death Investigation Underway in Kent

On April 7, 2022, at approximately 8:00 p.m., the Jefferson County Sheriff’s responded to a residence on Ramsey Creek Rd. in Lexington, IN to a report of a deceased individual. On scene Deputies/Officers found Michael Gregory Stewart Jr., 49 y/o, of Lexington, IN to be deceased. JCSO was assisted on scene by the Hanover Police Department, KDH EMS, and ISP Crime Scene Unit, and Jefferson County Coroner’s Office. Jefferson County Sheriff Office Detective C. Miller is leading the ongoing investigation with the assistance of the Indiana State Police Crime Scene Unit and Jefferson County Prosecutor’s Office. An autopsy is pending.
