No injuries

Jennings County Dispatch received a 911 call from two men who were trapped in a vehicle submerged in flood waters on County Road 700 W. The men were not from the area and were unsure of their location. Jennings County dispatchers Ammie Loretz and Nan Keeton were able to determine their location and dispatch help to the area. Deputy Doug Brown and Reserve Deputy Dylan Smock arrived on scene a short time later.

Once on scene deputies could see the vehicle in the water with its flashers on. The men stated water was coming inside the vehicle and they couldn't open the doors. The vehicle was approximately 400 yards in the water and tilted so Deputies were concerned it might rollover. At that point they made the decision to wade out to the vehicle. Deputies were able to make their way to the vehicle after walking through chest high water and get both males out of the water safely with no injuries.
