Deputy Man arrested on numerous drug charges

Substantial amount of drugs along nearly $25,000 cash

On November 2, 2022, Madison Police arrested Tobie W. Dennis for an armed robbery which occurred at the Jefferson Federal Credit Union.  The residence in which Dennis was located was on Blake Road in Deputy, Indiana.  Madison Police secured a search warrant for the residence as part of the armed robbery investigation.  

During the execution of the warrant, officers located a substantial amount of marijuana, THC vapes and U.S. currency.  The subsequent investigation led to the arrest of Kyle Elles 21, Deputy, Indiana.  Elles was a resident of the Blake Road address and the items were found to be in his possession within the residence.  

6.06 pounds of marijauna, 400 boxes of THC Vapes, approximately 21 oz. of marijuana extract (also known as Dab) & $24,976.00 of U.S. currency was seized as evidence. This portion of the investigation was led by Madison Police Officer Ben Flint, with the assistance of the Jefferson County Sheriff's Department and Indiana State Police.  

Kyle Elles faces preliminary alleged charges of L-5 dealin marijuana, L-6 maintaining a common nuisance, possession of marijuana L-6 felony,  possession of a scheduled drug class A misdemeanor.  All charges are alleged and Kyle Elles has the presumption of innocence until otherwise proven guilty
