Jordan Chandler and Tiersa Adams were taken into custody on a traffic stop executed in the parking lot of the Madison Wal-Mart.  Jefferson County Sheriff Chief Deputy Laura Pickel and her K-9 partner “Cuno” conducted an open-air sniff around the exterior of the vehicle, in which Chandler was operating and Adams was a passenger.  K-9 “Cuno” gave his handler a positive indication for the presence of narcotics in the vehicle.  The subsequent investigation led to the discovery of a significant amount of methamphetamine and heroin.

In addition to the traffic stop, a search warrant was executed at Chandler’s Ross Street residence in which officers located additional methamphetamine, cocaine and paraphernalia associated with the use of drugs.

Present when officers executed the Ross Street search warrant were Tyler Bennett and Savanna Durbin. Both Bennett and Durbin were taken into custody without incident and face the preliminary alleged charges stated above.

Additional narcotic dealing charges are anticipated against Jordan Chandler as a result of this lengthy investigation.

The accused parties, Chandler, Adams, Bennett, and Durbin have the presumption of innocence until otherwise proven guilty.  Officers from the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Department and Madison Police Department assisted the detectives.
