Four-Way Stop Coming To Vaughn Drive Along With Construction

City of Madison

The Madison Board of Public Works and Safety approved a four-way stop to be installed at the intersection of West Street, Vaughn Drive, and the city’s boat ramp. Madison Police Chief Jeremey Perkins said sightlines at the intersection due to parking in the area will prompt the city to paint the roadway or add rumble stripes near the intersection. Perkins added that permanent installation will wait until after Vaughn Drive is paved, so temporary signs will be placed until that time.

The Madison street department also announced that Sedam Contracting will have Vaughn Drive closed between Ferry Street and the Milton-Madison Bridge from Monday, July 8, through Friday, July 12, for bridge replacement. This work will be weather permitting.
