Hanover Hill SR 56 To Be CLOSED Wednesday Through Friday This Week

Between 8:30am and 3pm

Indiana Department of Transportation maintenance operations will close State Road 56 at “Hanover Hill” Wednesday, Thursday and Friday (JAN 23, 24 & 25) between the hours of 8:30 a.m. and 3 p.m.

INDOT officials advise local motorists to access downtown Madison via S.R. 7. Commercial vehicles should detour around the closure via U.S. Highway 421.

Personnel from the Madison Unit will patch shoulder areas along S.R. 56 while making concrete ditch repairs. Crews will also remove debris and trees that were downed by a recent ice storm. All operations are weather dependent.

S.R. 56 will be closed at S.R. 62 at the hilltop—and at S.R. 7 near downtown Madison beyond the power plant. Access will be maintained to entrances/exits.
