Hanover to offer $2,500 scholarships to children of Indiana K-12 employees

Making transformative education as accessible to as many people as possible

Beginning in Fall 2025, Hanover College will award a $2,500 scholarship to first-year students whose parent or legal guardian is employed by any K-12 school in Indiana – public or private. To be awarded the scholarship, students must be admitted to Hanover, complete the FAFSA, and provide proof of their parent’s or legal guardian’s full-time or permanent part-time employment at a K-12 school.

“Hanover College continues to lead the way in making our transformative education as accessible to as many people as possible,” said Peter Ashley, vice president for enrollment and marketing. “We want to recognize the critical role of Indiana’s K-12 employees in shaping the lives of young people and their inherent appreciation for what education can mean for their futures.”

In the past several years, Hanover has taken important steps to make paying for college more transparent and accessible. Initiatives have included offering a four-year tuition lock for incoming cohorts, guaranteeing graduation in four years, and providing full tuition for the most-needy Pell-eligible students.

“Hanover offers strong merit and competitive scholarships in order to help families meet their need, while enabling us to deliver a world-class education,” Ashley noted. “All types of scholarships and aid are capped at full tuition, so the goal is to help families as much as possible, while ensuring they are invested in their student’s education.”
