Crews are continuing to clean up a crash that shut down the interstate on Monday night.

(Gallatin County, Ky.) – Interstate71 in Gallatin County will be impacted due to an accident that occurred on Monday.
The accident was reported at the 62.5-mile marker near Glencoe around 10:00 p.m. yesterday. According to the Gallatin County Sheriff’s Department, a semi went over the embankment, leaving debris in the roadway.
The southbound lanes of Interstate 71 were closed for several hours following the accident.
The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet says today that I-71 southbound will be reduced to a single lane until 2:00 p.m. today so that crews can remove the tanker truck involved in the accident.
Motorists can expect delays.
