Indiana Driver's Licenses Get New Look

Available in mid-July

Driver's licenses in Indiana will be getting a new design, available online and at all BMV branches by mid-July.

Color photos will be replaced with black-and-white laser-engraved text and photos that reportedly work better with facial recognition technology.

Drivers under the age of 18 will get a vertically-formatted card as opposed to the horizontal one that those 21 and over will have.

Driver's licenses will have an Indy-style race car in the background and state IDs will have a picture of a cardinal.
