INDIANAPOLIS – State Rep. Randy Lyness (R-West Harrison) was honored for his service time on Tuesday at the Indiana Statehouse.

In December, Lyness announced his plan to complete his current term and not seek re-election.

Lyness’ colleagues took a time out from the legislative session to formally honor and recognize his eight years of service as state representative for House District 68, which includes all of Dearborn, Ohio, and Switzerland counties, and a portion of Jefferson County.

He also serves as vice chair of the House Committee on Local Government, and as a member of the House Commerce, Small Business and Economic Development Committee, and the House Employment, Labor and Pensions Committee.

In addition to his service as a state representative, Lyness has been a small business owner for over 33 years.
